Start in the IT industry – meetings with high school students

In June 2022, we completed the project: “Start in IT – meetings with high school students in Szczecin”.

The project’s main goal was to organize educational meetings with school students, during which IT companies presented their perspectives on working in the industry in Szczecin and shared some tips on what actions should be taken to start a career in the IT sector.

Together with IT companies associated with the Cluster, we talked about finding the first job in IT, emphasizing the importance of the right attitude of young people when entering the labour market.

These companies shared their knowledge with students: GlobalLogic, Intive, Kongsberg Maritime Poland, Sagra Technology, Fabryka Gier, Dige, Stettiner.

As a part of the project, we visited the following schools:

• Technikum Informatyczne SCI,
• Technikum Technologii Cyfrowych,
• Zespół Szkół Elektryczno-Elektronicznych im. prof. Maksymiliana Tytusa Hubera w Szczecinie,
• ZSK – Technikum Kreatywne.

Our meetings aimed to raise students’ awareness of the IT industry and help them find internships in our IT companies.
We realized the project in cooperation with the City Hall of Szczecin.
