DEVELOPMENT OF POLISH-GERMAN CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION
Workshop spot – Development of polish-german cross-border cooperation
The pandemic has limited social and cultural cooperation at the border, and has significantly hindered contacts among organisations. Therefore, we organise a number of online events to facilitate contacts and develop cooperation among organisations operating in the area of Mecklenburg – Vorpommern/ Brandenburg / Poland.
Our activities aim at better understanding of the organisations for future cross-border cooperation. Currently, during the pandemic, offline/direct contacts are difficult, whereas owing to the meetings and online workshops cross-border organisations will be able to:
- find out about their operating areas,
- exchange experiences regarding their mission and cooperation with the environment,
- acquire competences needed for future effective cross-border cooperation,
- jointly work out the concept for further cross-border cooperation.

FOR WHOM?
The project is intended for organisations who support and promote the development of state-of-the-art technologies, including IT companies, business environment institutions, and institutions gathering employers – entities operating in the region: Mecklenburg – Vorpommern/ Brandenburg / Poland.
PARTNER
The project is partnered by WITENO GmbH (Science and Technology Park, Greifswald) with a network of contacts to representatives of various organisations and institutions on the German side. Our partner undertakes many initiatives aimed at socioeconomic development in the region.
ABOUT CLUSTER
Klaster IT has been working for IT sector development since 2011. At present, the Klaster IT (IT Cluster) gathers over 80 technological business across the Western Pomerania. We undertake the following activities for the benefit of our members:
- We organise networking meetings among IT companies and representatives of the socioeconomic environment from the Western Pomerania region,
- We help companies in building partnerships and developing cooperation with companies from the IT sector while using the cluster-based order mechanism,
- We share our knowledge both within the Cluster and with external organisations: by organising cluster training, we use the know-how of our companies, and we cooperate with educational institutions and business trainers.
The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget (Small Project Fund within Interreg VA Mecklenburg – Vorpommern/ Brandenburg / Poland in the Pomerania Euroregion).
