There is another event ahead of us as part of our cross-border project! We invite you to an online meeting, where we will introduce participants to the most important cultural differences influencing the way of doing business in Germany and Poland.

We will focus on aspects such as:

  • attitude to authority (hierarchy of authority),
  • individualism vs. collectivism,
  • attitude to time,
  • written word vs. spoken word.

The meeting will take the form of a moderated discussion with representatives of companies conducting business in Germany, accompanied by a commentary referring to the studies, as well as the experiences of the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The discussion will be conducted in English (an interpreter will be available).

FOR WHOM: The meeting is intended for organisations who support and promote the development of state-of-the-art technologies, including IT companies, business environment institutions, and institutions gathering employers – entities operating in the region: Mecklenburg – Vorpommern/ Brandenburg / Poland.

MODERATOR:

Ewelina Gnatkowska – a Scandinavian studies specialist by education, a marketer by profession, a graduate of the Jagiellonian University, and a Riksföreningen Sverigekontakt scholarship holder. For 12 years she was involved in marketing and sales on foreign markets, in companies such as Barlinek S.A., Foodcare Sp.z o.o. or Marmite S.A. She participated in projects related to introducing brands to export markets, increasing the efficiency of sales processes, customer service and logistics. She was responsible for implementing communication strategies with both business clients and investors.

Currently, at the Polish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Polska), she works for the development of Polish-German economic relations. She helps companies to make contacts, organises numerous conferences and networking meetings. She shares her knowledge during various presentations and panel discussions, which she also moderates. With the help of the Chamber’s experts, she makes it easier for companies to start in the partner country, helps in solving legal and tax problems, and also provides market analyses.

The project is partnered by WITENO GmbH (Science and Technology Park, Greifswald) with a network of contacts to representatives of various organisations and institutions on the German side. Our partner undertakes many initiatives aimed at socioeconomic development in the region.
