On February 27th, we held our Cluster Breakfast, which gathered many participants! We organized the meeting in collaboration with Technopark Pomerania. As announced, it took the form of a debate. In celebration of Fat Thursday, participants enjoyed delicious doughnuts, which added a pleasant atmosphere to the event.
At the beginning of the meeting, Daniel Wacinkiewicz, President of Technopark Pomerania, took the floor. He welcomed our guests together with Magdalena Ławicka and Marcin Kaczmarek. He presented Technopark’s vision for its development, emphasizing its key role in supporting innovative initiatives and entrepreneurship in the region.
The debate then followed, discussing the needs of our industry, led by Marcin Kaczmarek, President of our Cluster, and Board members Piotr Anioła and Daniel Czapiewski.
Our guests actively engaged in discussions on the most critical topics suggested by the moderators. We started the conversation by addressing issues related to expanding operations into foreign markets. We talked about taking products and services beyond the country’s borders – both to our neighboring countries and to more distant nations, such as China.
Participants emphasized how crucial it is to have the opportunity to participate in trade fairs, conferences, or business matchmaking events, where face-to-face meetings provide added value in establishing cooperation.
A significant topic among participants was obtaining financial support – in terms of attending events as visitors and funding exhibition stands. In response, the invited representatives from CIG, ARMS, RCIiTT, and PFP presented forms of support available to companies in our Cluster.
A key piece of information for the IT Cluster and its members was the declaration of willingness to collaborate with the mentioned organizations and the possibility of providing concrete answers to market needs. The importance of creating a comprehensive supply chain was emphasized, in which the companies associated with the Cluster would complement each other’s competencies to deliver complete solutions.
In the next part of the discussion, we addressed Artificial Intelligence. The participants highlighted several key issues that could drive and hinder AI development and implementation in companies.
We also hosted representatives from Szczecin’s universities: the Institute of Management at the University of Szczecin, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology The West Pomeranian University of Technology, and ZPSB. We heard their valuable insights and declarations regarding the desire to strengthen cooperation between science and business in our industry.
The final topic discussed was Offshore as a way to reduce labor costs. Our Cluster members shared their experiences in this area, discussing common challenges and the advantages of using such solutions.
In the second part of the meeting, Daniel Czapiewski and Christian Koop presented perspectives on cooperation between Polish IT service providers and German agencies, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges associated with entering this demanding market. During the presentation, the topic of public tenders in Germany was discussed in detail, which could represent an attractive source of new orders for Polish companies. Our experts invited participants to contact them and continue cooperation, offering their support in consulting and project execution. Link to the presentation HERE >>
We are pleased with the high level of interest and the desire to participate actively in our discussions. This is proof for us that we are addressing important issues that are of great significance to our business community.
As is tradition, after the official part, our guests had the opportunity to engage in mutual conversations over delicious coffee and refreshments.
Thank you all for the inspiring discussions. See you at the next Breakfast in March!
